Halloween and the Christian

Should Christians celebrate or take part in Halloween? Most Christians would tell you that it is okay to celebrate Halloween, while others would tell you NO! I on the other hand will leave it between you and God. This article is to let you know the origins of Halloween and what the Bible has to say about taking part in the rituals of Halloween.

Halloween’s origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in) approximately 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France. The Celts celebrated their new year on November 1, which marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the New Year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31 they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth.

We know that there are no such things as ghosts, but that they really are demons portraying themselves as ghosts of living relatives. In Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 we see that the dead no longer know anything, or have any rewards (verse 5) as the memory of them is forgotten. Neither do they have a portion of anything that is done under the sun (verse 6).

In addition to these spirits causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. For a people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter.

Okay. In Deuteronomy 18:9-14 God tells Israel not to learn to do of the abominations of those people He was going to drive out of the Promised Land. When people learn any sort of craft, they normally practice that craft, this is what God did not want Israel to do as He lists those things He did not want to find among them (verses 10,11) He wanted them to be perfect with the Lord their God (verse 14). As with Israel, we should not learn to do those things because Paul tells us to “be not conformed to this world” (Romans 12:2). In other words, do not conform yourself to the same pattern as the rest of the world.

Ever attend a bonfire on Halloween? Well, to commemorate the event, Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities. Druids also did human sacrifices believing that their soul would be reincarnated into another. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 10:20,21 that the Gentiles sacrifice to devils and not to God. In verse 21 Paul tells us that we “cannot partake of the Lord’s table and the table of the devils.”

The idea of “trick or treat” also came from the Celts when they would go around and ask for food to appease the “good spirits”, or if you didn’t give food, then you would basically be cursed. Yea, this sounds really fun.

When Christians participate in Halloween, they partake in a demonic ritual. Read what Paul says in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18. Paul first tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, and then in verse 15 he asks “And what concord hath Christ with Belial?” In other words – and this is just my own interpretation of this part – “What likeness or agreement does Christ have with Satan?”

If we separate ourselves from these things and He will receive us (verse 17).

Concerning the wearing of costumes. The Celts believed that if they had to leave the house that night the spirits would bother them, so they wore what we would call costumes, mainly of animal skins to make the spirits think they were also spirits. This tradition has continued to the modern day. We are to abstain from all appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22), this includes abstaining from taking part in a demonic celebration.

Halloween is considered my many witches to be their holiday and they are very pleased that Christians celebrate it. So why do Christians take part in a demonic holiday? I say they take part in it for the following reasons:

  1. They are ignorant of the real reason for Halloween.
  2. They just don’t care because it is for the children.
  3. They don’t know what God’s Word has to say about taking par, consorting with witches, diviners etc.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not condemning any Christian who wants to celebrate Halloween, as I said at the beginning, it is entirely between you and God. So I pray that you will look into this yourselves, and read God’s Word yourselves, and then really pray about whether or not you should celebrate this demonic holiday.

Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit

What is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? Some say it is the rejection of Jesus. Some say it is the continual rejection of the Deity of Christ. God’s Word clearly states what blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is, and I believe what it says. To find out exactly what scripture says on this subject you have to look at the context and the original meaning of the words in the passages. Let’s take a look at the context and meanings of a few words!

There are only two places where blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is mentioned. The first is found in Mathew 12:22-32. When Jesus cast out the deaf and dumb devil, the Pharisee’s said that He cast out devils by Beelzebub. Jesus answers starting in verse 25. Look at what Jesus said in verse 27 “And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.” Notice that Jesus states that even their children were casting out devils! The question is “in what name do your children cast out the devils” The Pharisee’s weren’t concerned about their children, but with Jesus. They had already rejected Jesus as being the Son of God, and they were looking for a way to get rid of Him.

In verse 31 Jesus says that all sin and blasphemy can and will be forgiven of all men, whereas, the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit – Holy Ghost here in Matthew – will not be forgiven men. In verse 32 Jesus clarifies verse 31 by saying that if you speak against the Holy Ghost it will not be forgiven you! In the Greek blasphemy (verse 31) means: from (blasphemos); vilification (especially against God):- blasphemy, evil speaking, railing. The word “speaketh” (verse 32) in the Greek is this: a primary verb (used only in the definite past tense, to speak or say (by word or writing):- answer, bid, bring word, call, command, grant, say (on), speak, tell. Did you notice that reject or rejection isn’t part of either one of the meanings?? As a matter of fact, nowhere in this passage did Jesus even mention that the rejection of the Holy Spirit is blasphemy. So if Jesus did not mention that rejection of the Holy Spirit is blasphemy, why do pastors teach this is what this passage means? So where are they getting that rejection of Christ or the rejection of the Deity of Christ is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? I really don’t know where they get the idea of rejection from. The end of verse 32 says that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven you in this world or the world to come. Jesus said this to clarify that you will never be forgiven this sin, ever!

The second and last time blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is mentioned can be found in Mark 3:22-30. In verse 22 we see that the scribes said that Jesus was possessed by Beelzebub, and that was the reason He was casting out devils. The response Jesus gave was this in a nut shell, “Satan cannot cast out Satan and have his house remain standing. If a kingdom or house is divided against itself, how can it stand?” Let’s go down to verse 28. Jesus said all sins will be forgiven man, AND blasphemies which they shall blaspheme. Jesus goes on to say in verse 29 “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:” Blaspheme in the Greek means: from (blasphemos); to vilify; specially to speak impiously :- (speak) blaspheme (-er, -mously, -my), defame, rail on, revile, speak evil. Hmmm …. I see nothing about rejection here either. Blaspheme and blasphemy mean the same thing, SPEAK! So what Jesus is actually saying is this; “But he that shall speak against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal judgement:” WAIT! Did Jesus just say that those who speak against the Holy Spirit are in danger of eternal judgement? Well yes Jesus did say that. Damnation in the Greek means: decision (subject or object, for or against); by extension a tribunal; by implication justice (specially divine law):- accusation, condemnation, damnation, judgment. But I digress, that is a totally different topic. Verse 30 is really just telling us why Jesus responded the way He did, because if look back at verse 22, the scribes said He was possessed by Beelzebub. The start of verse 30 uses the word because. When you see the word because, you have to go back to verse 22 and see why Jesus said what He said. We see that Jesus’s reply was in response to the scribes saying He is possessed by Beelzebub, and hence He was able to cast out devils.

The fact here remains that nowhere in either of these passages, does Jesus even remotely hint at or mention that if you reject Him, you commit blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. What Jesus is actually saying in these two passages is this. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is attributing the working power of the Holy Spirit to that of Satan and his mafia.

I believe there are three good reasons pastors teach that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the rejection of Jesus, or the rejection of the Deity of Christ:
1. They are looking for a way out to excuse themselves from the consequences of their actions because they themselves have attributed the working power of the Holy Spirit as not being from God.
2. They have been taught this all their lives, and are hesitant to look into it for themselves.
3. Through ignorance.

Stop Playing the Harlot

There are some parallels’ between Israel in Jeremiah’s time and the church today. In Jeremiah 3:1-5 we see that Israel had gone and prostituted herself. The church today has prostituted herself as well. What do you mean the church has prostituted herself? You got to be kidding! No I’m not, and yes the church has! When I say the church, I am speaking of every single person who says that they are a Christian. When I say that we have, nay, we are playing the harlot, I do not mean physically playing the harlot, – though some are also doing it physically – I mean spiritually playing the harlot.

As Israel and Judah were in their whoredoms, so is the church today. Turn to Jeremiah 3:1-3, we see that God called out Israel and Judah concerning their adulterous ways, I might add, very blatant adulterous ways. Israel and Judah committed spiritual adultery with other gods. This is called idolatry.

In verse 1, we see the example of a man who divorces his wife and she goes and marries another, who then divorces her. The first man is prohibited from marring her again since she is defiled, as it is an abomination to God and would cause the land to sin. (Deuteronomy 24:4) God said that they have played the harlot with many lovers (idols). Even with Israel doing this, the Lord was still willing to take her back!

The church is playing the harlot with many lovers today. We see churches going after the mighty dollar. We see pastors preaching to keep their job. We see messages coming out of the pulpit that only make people feel good about themselves instead of messages that will convict people of their sin. We see messages coming out of the pulpit that have a world view instead of biblical view. Charles Spurgeon says it best “The motto of all true servants of God must be, ‘We preach Christ; and Him crucified.’ A sermon without Christ in it is like a loaf of bread without any flour in it. No Christ in your sermon, sir? Then go home, and never preach again until you have something worth preaching.”

In verse 2, God is telling Israel to look to the heights to try and see if there isn’t anything they haven’t been lovers of. The word lain has strong sexual connotations. Just like the Arabian who ambushed caravans, Israel has lusted after other gods, thereby polluting the land with their wickedness.

What have churches today not been lovers of? Churches are lovers of themselves, proclaiming, Look what we have done for the Kingdom. Look at our church building that we have so tirelessly worked for! Look at all the programs we have for the Kingdom! It seems that everything is Look at what WE, not look what God has done.

The church has gone and brought in the things of this world to appeal to those who are on the outside of the church. They use 1 Corinthians 9:20-22 as a guide, all the while totally misinterpreting the passage. They preach that we must become all things to reach the lost! Sorry, but Paul wasn’t saying to become like them, Paul was saying he went to where they were to preach the gospel, so that one may come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ! We are to go to them, not bring their worldly ways and things into the church.

In verse 3, God had withheld the rains from falling. Today God is withholding His blessings from the church because of her unfaithfulness to Him. God is allowing the church to slide further down the slippery slope of spiritual adultery only to hit rock bottom to bring us back to Him. “…and thou hadst a whore’s forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.” God is saying that Israel and Judah had refused to be ashamed of their acts, in that they openly committed them in full view of the world. Some churches are openly supporting those things God has called sin such as gay marriage, abortions, lying, adultery, making graven images both physical and mental, praying to dead people to receive blessings and so on.

We see that the church which is supposed to impact the world, has instead, been impacted by the world. In other words, the church which is supposed to go out into the world, has let the world come into the church. Churches have become ritualistic instead of relationship orientated. To put it plainly in the words of A.W. Tozer “The weakness of so many Christians is that they feel too much at home in the world” We cannot feel at home in the world, if we do we will lose our saltiness. When we let the world impact us, we end up thinking too lightly of sin. “When we think too lightly of sin, we think too lightly of the Saviour” Charles Spurgeon. Let that sink in for a moment. When we think of sin as “It’s okay, it’s just a small little sin, God will understand.”, we make Christs death and resurrection mean nothing to us.

The church has ignored Gods commandments, and called evil good and good evil! Woe to the church that calls evil good, and good evil, darkness for light and bitter for sweet! Isaiah 5:20. Through the churches idolatrous ways, the church has broken the first 3 commandments.

Exodus 20:3 – Thou shalt have no other gods before me. When the church puts other things before God, the church has committed idolatry. Example, if you put Facebook before God, you are breaking the first commandment. Now hear me, I’m not saying not to go on Facebook, just don’t spend all your time on it. If you have all day to be on Facebook, you can spend a good portion of the day with your Bible open studying it and reading it! If you can be watching the idiot tube all day, you can spend a good portion of the day in God’s Word! Don’t get me wrong here. You can enjoy watching the idiot tube as long as you are not filling your mind and heart with all of the sex, murder, lying, adulteries, fornication, swearing and so on. How can we as a Christians sit there and watch that filth and not even blush. If you are not feeling convicted, you may need to get on your knees and start praying. What you fill your heart and mind with WILL eventually come out in how you live. We need to serve God with our whole being all day long in everything we do, where He has placed us. Are you filling your heart with things of the world, or things of God? If you continually fill your heart with the things of this world, eventually your speech will reveal where your heart is. Matthew 15:18-20 and Mark 7:15-23. When you speak what is in your heart, you defile yourself and God will destroy you! 1 Corinthians 3:16,17

What things are you putting before God? Are you placing your paycheck before God? Are you putting your job before God? How about your family before God?

Exodus 20:4 – Thou shalt not make any graven image. In the spirit of the law as Jesus did in Matthew 5:27,28 when anyone has put anything before God, that person has made a graven image in his/her mind.

Exodus 5:7 – Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. As an application, anything that we do to put shame on the name of God, is breaking this commandment. Example, if you say you are a Christian, but don’t live how HE wants you to live, you are putting shame on the name of God.

God is telling us today to be separate from the world (2 Corinthians 6:14-18) because what fellowship does light have with darkness, “and what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?” (verse 16). When we separate ourselves from the worldly things – and people – God will receive us!

James tells us in 4:4 – telling the people who are committing spiritual adultery – that being friends of the world makes you an enemy of God. He then goes on to tell us to “Draw nigh unto God, and He will draw nigh unto us” (v8).

God will bring us closer to Him if we will just repent of our adultery, and ask for forgiveness of our sins because He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins. 1 John 1:9.

So return unto the Lord your God, follow His precepts, follow His commandments, and write them on the tablet of your heart (memorize scripture). Grow in the wisdom of the Lord. Fear Him who is able to save you from the father of lies who only wants to destroy you.

Return, thou backsliding church, saith the Lord; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you, for I am merciful, saith the Lord, I will not stay angry with you. Only acknowledge your sins, repent, and I will return unto you! I will heal your spirit, I will heal your families, I will heal your churches saith the Lord. I will bring you up out of the miry clay and raise you up above all peoples, and they will know I am the Lord thy God! Humble yourselves, for I love a humble spirit, but a proud spirit I detest and will not hear.

A Word

Return, thou backsliding church, saith the Lord; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you, for I am merciful, saith the Lord, I will not stay angry with you. Only acknowledge your sins, repent, and I will return unto you! I will heal your spirit, I will heal your families, I will heal your churches saith the Lord. I will bring you up out of the miry clay and raise you up above all peoples, and they will know I am the Lord thy God! Humble yourselves, for I love a humble spirit, but a proud spirit I detest and will not hear.

We have Power and Authority

Did you know that as Christians we have the same power and authority Jesus had while He was here?
Did you know that we are seated with Him in the Heavenly’s?

Before Jesus was crucified, He gave the power and authority to His disciples – and to the seventy – to cast out demons and heal the sick.

Matthew 10:1 – And when He called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
Mark 3:14,15 – Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sickness and to cast out demons.
Luke 9:1 – Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.

In each case the disciples went out with the power and authority, and healed the sick, cast out demons and preached that the Kingdom of God was at hand.

In Luke 10:1, Jesus appointed 70 others and sent them out in two’s and in verse 17 they came back all excited, all trying to tell Jesus what they had done. I can just see Jesus saying, “Hold on now, one at a time please!” The seventy told Jesus that “even the demons are subject to us in your name”. Jesus’s reply is found in verses 18 and 19:

And He said to them “I saw Satan fall like lightening from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

What Jesus did was give his disciples and the seventy a power of attorney. A power of attorney is a legal document giving the person receiving the power of attorney, the power and authority to act in the person’s name giving the power of attorney. In other words, the person receiving the power of attorney can do anything that is listed in that document as if the person giving the power of attorney was physically present. Jesus then gave notice to the heavenly powers – that is, both angels and demons – that the twelve disciples and the other seventy have all the power and authority of His name. Let’s go back to verse 19. Jesus told them that He gives them the authority over “ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY”!! Jesus was telling them that they have power over Satan himself!!

I had called a friend one day, but he told me he couldn’t talk right then due him going through some things with his ex-wife and kids. I told him no problem, and that I will call back at a later time. The Holy Spirit pressed on me that I needed to call him back and bid Satan from their lives. I argued saying that he couldn’t talk at that time. Of course I lost, so I called my friend back, apologized, and told Him that I wanted to pray with him. So I prayed with him and in the name of Jesus I bound Satan and told him that he has no power or authority over children of God and that he had to leave. A couple of days later, this friend called, and he mentioned that immediately he noticed a drastic difference in the attitude in his ex-wife and kids. This is the power we have in Christ. Now I don’t tell this story to brag on what I did, – as it wasn’t me, but the Holy Spirit – but as an example of what we as Christians can do when we use the power and authority we have in Christ through the Holy Spirit, when prompted by the Holy Spirit.

Paul writes in Ephesians 2:6 that we have been raised up with Christ, and are sitting in the heavenly places in Christ . Obviously, Paul isn’t talking about sitting with Christ physically, but spiritually speaking we are seated with Christ in the heaven’s. In Ephesians 2:20 Paul says that Christ is seated at the right hand of God, above (v21) all principality an power and might and dominion. So, we being raised up together, and seated with Christ in the heavenly places, then we – spiritually  speaking – are also above all principality and power and might and dominion.

He told His followers in Acts 1:8 that they will receive power when the Holy Spirit had come upon them. So we see here that when we receive Christ into our lives, the Holy Spirit will come upon us and we will receive power. The Holy Spirit is Christ’s Living Power of Attorney to us!

How do we know that we have can cast out demons, and heal the sick in Jesus name? Jesus told His disciples in John 14:12 that the works I do, he shall do also – talking about those who believe on Him – and greater works than these shall he do.

• Jesus healed the sick of the palsy – Matthew 9:6
• Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead – John 11:43
• Jesus walked on water – Matthew 14:25
• Jesus cast out legion – Mark 5:13
• Jesus told Satan to get behind Him – Mark 8:33

There are many, many other works that Jesus did while on earth. Jesus said that we shall do all of these things, and greater things. It just blows my mind trying to think of greater things than what Jesus did, that we shall do.

So how can we use the power and authority we have in Christ?

First we need to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 says not to be drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit. What Paul is saying here is that we need to be continually filled with the Spirit. This is not a one time filling, but a day by day, moment by moment filling. When we are continually filled by the Spirit, we are more able to live in, and use the power and authority Christ has given us.

Secondly, we need to act in faith. When we act in faith, we are believing that the thing we are acting on will come to pass as long as it is in the will of God. In Matthew 17:19-21 we see that through the disciples unbelief, they could not cast out a demon (v20). Jesus then tells the disciples that if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will be able to tell a mountain to move to another place. Mountain in this verse in the original Greek word oros means a literal mountain. In Matthew 13:31 and 32, we find that a mustard seed is the least of all seeds, and yet, it is the greatest of all herbs. If we don’t have the faith, living in and using the power and authority will be a whole lot harder. This is where Satan wants to keep us. Satan does not want us to use the power and authority because he knows that if we do, him and his mafia will not be able to come against us.

Are you Healed?

Have you been healed? I’m not talking strictly about physical healing, but spiritual healing as well. As I read through the scriptures, it became clear that healing is a direct correlation to our faith. Healing comes by FAITH, and not by anything WE do.

James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

3 John 2

There are 4 main reasons to why we don’t get healed.

1.  God wants to use our affliction to bring Glory to His name – Joni Erikson Tada is a prime example of this. Joni became a quadriplegic after a diving accident. She had prayed to God to heal her, and when God didn’t, she started to question and blame God for the condition she was in. After a few months, she realized that it wasn’t meant to be. Now to make a long story short, she has a wonderful ministry, ministering to those who are handicapped like herself.

2.  Unbelief = Little faith – Matthew 17:20 Here Faith and unbelief are connected. The word mountain here is literally translated as a literal hill or mountain. Figuratively it can mean anything in our lives that looks to be a mountain. Romans 4:20 Abraham believed and his faith was strong because of it. Have faith in God – Mark 11:22-24 Believe that God can do a healing work in you and you shall receive it.

3.  Expect God to “BAM” heal us when he wants to use another way. Too many Christians want God to strike them with instant healing, when we should be taking God at His Word and do what he tells us. Look at Naaman and Elisha. Naaman (a Syrian officer) came to Elisha to get healed of his leprosy. Kings 5: 9-15 There is a parallel between this story and Christians today. Naaman is the resemblance of the Christians’ way of thinking vs.11-13. Naaman was furious because he was EXPECTING God to heal him right there and then! And he left raging mad! Naaman’s servants on the other hand are like unto the Holy Spirit, who softly talks to us. His servants asked Naaman, “If the prophet told you to do something great, would you do it, why not this little thing” After Naaman’s 7th dip in the Jordon, he came out cleansed, It wasn’t the Jordon that healed him, but his faith in the God of Israel. God can use anything He wants, wherever He wants, whenever He wants. What we expect God to do is not necessarily what God will do  – Isaiah 55:8; God uses a Donkey – Numbers 22:21-33; Uses a Bronze snake on a pole – Numbers 21:9; A great fish – Jonah 1:17

4.  Unforgiven Sin in our lives. Matthew 5:23, 6:14, Mark 11:25-26 According to research from the University of Wisconsin, internalizing, or holding on to, hurt and resentment can lead to depression, post-traumatic stress, increased anger, anxiety, illness, drug and alcohol abuse, sleep- and even eating disorders. Holding unto grudges affects your present attitude, how you treat people, even your health. When you’re stressed, bitter, and tense, you’re more prone to numerous ailments such as ulcers, heart problems, anxiety attacks, even cancer! Psalm 38 King David admits that because of his unforgiven sin, his heath is failing. Do you see how much weight is placed on forgiving each another?

6 ways to receive your healing.

1.  Have a good laugh! Norman Cousins who back in 1964 was told by his doctor that he had but a few months left to live. Norman rejected that negative idea, and went to a hotel room, rented a movie project and watched comedies like the Marx Brothers, Candid Camera and others. Well the few months stretched into years, when he finally died in November of 1990. Medical experts, including the American Cancer Society say that laughter is healthy because it helps muscles function better, lowers blood pressure, and improves breathing. Laughing also reduces stress. Stress lowers the effectiveness of the immune system to fight. So if laughing reduces stress, that would mean then that laughing raises the effectiveness of the immune system to fight? Proverbs 17:22 – ASV says cheerful heart. What Norman cousin experienced is what Solomon already knew, that a merry heart is like good medicine!

2.  Don’t worry about tomorrow because tomorrow has enough problems of its own. Worrying creates stress, which as just mentioned reduces the ability of the immune system to fight. Chronic worrying affects your daily life so much that it interferes with your appetite, lifestyle habits, relationships, sleep, and job performance. Many people who worry excessively are so anxiety-ridden that they seek relief in harmful lifestyle habits such as overeating, cigarette smoking, or using alcohol and drugs. Don’t worry about the things you need, as God will supply all of your needs, why worry about them. Matthew 6:25-34

3.  Pray and believe. We need others to pray for us, and over us along with our own prayers. There is nothing to ashamed about asking for prayer, as James 5:13,14,16 mentions, “the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous can do a lot of things. James 5:15 says “the prayer of FAITH”, in other words we have to believe in what we are praying for.

4.  Renew your spirit through seeking after God by studying His word. Write His word on your heart. Proverbs 3:7,8. Hear what God has to say, for they are live to you. Proverbs 4:20-22.

5.  Forgive others for their trespasses against you, because if you don’t God won’t forgive you. Matthew 6:14,15

6.  Receive the ULTIMTE healing of all! By His stripes we are healed Isaiah 53:4-7. God used His only Son to heal us from all of our sins because He Loves us! John 3:14-18 Jesus was whipped so much that His flesh hung from His bones, beaten so much that He was black and blue from bruising. A crown of thorn was placed on His head, no not placed, but jammed down on his head so that the thorns dug into His head. And when HE carried the cross up to Golgotha, wood splinters dug into an already whip torn, blistered, bleeding back which only added to His agony and pain for us. Jesus paid the debt for our sins. There can be no remission of sins without the shedding of blood. Jesus became that sacrifice for us. Hebrews 9:22. Jesus became the atoning victim for us that we should not die but have everlasting life. Romans 3:23-25.
